What is Random Picker?+
An app for making a choice out of a list. Type in the options once, then pick a mode — a spinning wheel, a knockout bracket, a raffle draw, an elimination round, a group split — and it produces the result. There are also fourteen one-tap generators for when there is no list: a coin, dice, a number in a range, a letter, a colour, an emoji, yes or no, rock paper scissors and more.
Does it work without internet?+
Yes. Every mode and every generator runs on the device — the pick is calculated locally, not on a server. Your saved lists are stored locally too. A connection is only needed to load ads and to make or restore a purchase.
Do I need an account?+
No. There is no sign-up, no email and no password. Install the app and start picking.
Are my lists uploaded anywhere?+
No. The names you type stay in local storage on your device and are never sent to us. We can see in analytics that a mode was run, but not what was written on the wheel. Details in the Privacy Policy.
How do I get my lists onto a new phone?+
Because lists are stored locally and there is no account, they do not move on their own. Restoring the new device from an iCloud or iTunes backup of the old one brings the app's data with it; a fresh install starts empty.
Why am I seeing ads, and how do I stop them?+
The free version is paid for by advertising. Random Picker Pro removes banner and full-screen ads and unlocks every mode. Rewarded ads are different — those are the ones you choose to watch to open a Pro mode for one run, and they never play unless you tap to start them.
What is the tracking prompt when I first open the app?+
That is Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, asking whether the advertising identifier may be used to personalise ads. Declining is a real option: the app works exactly the same and you simply get non-personalised ads. You can change the answer any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
What does Pro cost?+
Pro is a subscription offered weekly or yearly. The exact price for your country and the billing period are shown on the purchase screen before you pay. It renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple account settings.
I paid before but Pro is gone. What now?+
Open the app's purchase screen and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with. That also brings back the old lifetime Pro Pass, which is no longer sold but still works for everyone who owns it. If it does not come back, email us with the date of purchase and we will look into it.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
In iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops the renewal; deleting the app on its own does not. Refunds go through Apple under Apple's refund policy — we cannot issue them.
Is the result really random?+
It uses your device's random number generator, which is plenty for settling an argument about dinner. It is not a certified or auditable randomness source, so do not use it for gambling, for a legally regulated prize draw, or for anything where the result has to stand up to a challenge. The Terms of Use set this out.
Can I set my own probabilities?+
Yes — Weighted Random lets you give each item its own chance instead of splitting the wheel evenly. Percentage Split does the related job of distributing a share between items.
Which languages does it support?+
Thirteen: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Norwegian. It follows your device language automatically.
A mode is behaving strangely. What should I send you?+
The mode name, your iOS version and device model, how many items were in the list, and a screenshot or screen recording if you can catch it. That is usually enough to reproduce it without any back and forth.
